I have always been drawn to people- their stories, their motivations, and what makes each person uniquely themselves. From a young age, I was the person friends turned to, the one who wanted to sit with others in the hard moments and truly understand them. That natural pull toward connection and healing is what brought me to therapy, and I genuinely cannot imagine doing anything else.
My path here has been anything but linear. I grew up in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India, before making my way to Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), where I studied Marketing and Sales. After graduating, I returned home to Mumbai and worked in marketing for a year. But something kept pulling me in a different direction. I’ve always been deeply curious about people: what motivates them, what shapes their behaviors, and what makes each person uniquely them. That curiosity, combined with a genuine love of helping others, is what led me to pivot toward mental health counseling. I completed two counseling internships, shadowing an experienced psychotherapist and connecting with clients navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, and more. Witnessing people’s courage and resilience in those sessions only deepened my commitment to this work.
I aim to create a warm, welcoming, and completely non-judgmental space where you feel safe to show up as you are. I am also comfortable speaking in Hindi and Gujarati, so if you’re more comfortable expressing yourself in either language, please know that door is open. I’m still growing as a clinician and I embrace that wholeheartedly, I don’t come with a rigid approach or a one-size-fits-all framework. I come with genuine curiosity, deep care, and a commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.
When I’m not in session, I’m usually out exploring everything New York City has to offer by trying new restaurants, experimenting with recipes at home, dancing at a rave, or taking long walks through Central Park. My happiest days off involve clear blue water somewhere warm, snorkeling or kayaking until the sun goes down.
Whatever brought you here, I’m glad you took this step. I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
