Therapist

My passion is helping people reconnect with who they truly are beneath the expectations, roles, and survival strategies that may no longer serve them. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high achieving individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. I enjoy working with clients struggling with perfectionism, burnout, people pleasing, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, and the impact of family dynamics and intergenerational patterns. I also support individuals navigating major life transitions, career changes, identity exploration, and questions of belonging, including immigrants, international students, multicultural individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

As a Chinese immigrant who moved to the United States as a young adult, I understand the complexities of balancing different cultural values, expectations, and identities. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in engineering, technology, and leadership roles within fast paced corporate environments. Having experienced both professional success and career reinvention firsthand, I understand the pressures many high performers place on themselves and the uncertainty that often accompanies personal and professional change. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the ways culture, family systems, and life experiences shape our emotional well being, relationships, and sense of self.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), mindfulness based approaches, and attachment informed perspectives to help clients better understand themselves, build healthier relationships, and create meaningful and sustainable change. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and offer therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, learning new languages, strength training, spending time with my cats, and exploring new ideas, cultures, and experiences. I believe people are remarkably resilient, and I feel honored to support clients as they move toward lives that feel more authentic, connected, and aligned with their values.
