Therapist

I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, learn, and overcome the obstacles in life—and you don’t have to face this journey alone. My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, with the goal of supporting you every step of the way. While empathy and understanding are central to our work together, I will also challenge you to discover new perspectives and make meaningful changes.

A bit about my background: Originally from China, I moved to the U.S. at the age of 15. I studied Business Administration at Boston University, with a minor in French. After completing my undergraduate degree, I returned to Shanghai, where I guided teenagers on their overseas education journeys. During this time, I became aware of the profound impact mental health has on people’s overall happiness and success. This realization inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University, ultimately leading me to become a therapist.

My core belief in therapy is that it’s centered around you, the client. I strive to adapt to what you need, embracing an evidence-based approach paired with genuine compassion and understanding. Drawing from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Existential Therapy, my integrative approach is tailored to support your individual needs. I work with clients facing issues such as anxiety, depression, work stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more. As a bilingual counselor, I offer therapy in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga, diving into sci-fi novels, and, of course, spending joy-filled moments watching my adorable British shorthair, Tangyuan, scratching the carpet.
