Associate Therapist

We all develop interwoven ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving in order to navigate our lives. When an experience is deeply painful, our brains and bodies produce whatever responses we need in order to get through that moment. But those systems of thought, feeling, and action are powerful and enduring; they become our foundational settings, and they shape the lens through which we experience life. As both ourselves and our circumstances evolve, we start to outgrow some of that wiring and it can become detrimental—even harmful—to us. That is where our work in therapy begins.

I have incredible respect for the vulnerability my clients offer when they show up to therapy and share their inner worlds with me. To make that possible, my first priority is to build a relationship in which they feel accepted, understood, and valued. With that as our foundation we can observe and explore how their systems of thought, feeling, and behavior are working together—and how that is, or is not, working for them today. With compassion, they can then dismantle those patterns which have become painful or unhelpful and rebuild more supportive ways of being in their place.

After receiving my BA from the University of Virginia, I began my career creating programs and services designed to help people build purpose, agency, and belonging. I have spent over a decade supporting people’s growth as a strategy leader and coach across global education, non-profit, and corporate environments. This journey ultimately led me to focus directly on mental healthcare, and I am currently completing an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. My therapeutic approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), but as an integrative therapist, I will pull from across modalities to best serve your individual needs.

In my free time, you’ll find me wandering endlessly in Prospect Park, watching PBS Masterpiece mysteries, or catching a standup show at the Comedy Cellar.
