It may not be difficult to understand that comparison is the thief of joy, yet we find ourselves constantly comparing one another. Our world today has exacerbated this tendency by providing constant opportunities for comparison. We don’t have to constantly feel ‘not enough’ when walking out the door each day or opening up our phones. Through therapy, we can understand how our own self-identity impacts the way we view and interact with the world around us. By developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and a more realistic self-image, there lies an opportunity for increased self-acceptance.
I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in American Studies and Business Economics. After graduating in 2021, I worked at a Public Relations firm focusing on content strategy and creation. Understanding consumer behavior and the relationship between social media and mental health led me to the desire to pursue a career that focused on helping individuals navigate their own mental health in this curated and comparative climate. I am in the process of completely an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University.
My hobbies include running, diving into a good book, as well as spending time with old friends and making new ones!
