Ana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from City University of New York, Brooklyn College. She interned at the award winning IHI Therapy Center in Chelsea. She is trained in both Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy and uses her knowledge to help her clients discover new ways of thinking and behaving to lead to a more fulfilling life.
Ana is experienced in working with adults with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues and is extensively trained in working with the LGBT+ community. She believes that one of the most important components of therapy lies in the relationship between client and therapist and strives to establish an honest, safe, and empathetic relationship with each client she meets. To Ana, developing this alliance is essential to helping her clients identify and meet their goals.
Ana’s additional areas of interest include animal assisted therapy and play therapy.
